Haier Europe achieves the FSC Chain of Custody Certification
Haier Europe celebrates another milestone in its sustainability journey by announcing that it has received the prestigious Chain of Custody certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
The Chain of Custody verifies that forest-based materials used in Haier Europe’s products are sourced, produced, and distributed in compliance with the rigorous standards set by the Forest Stewardship Council, the world’s leading authority on forest certification. The certification ensures that materials are credibly managed at every stage, from the forest to the finished goods, safeguarding the environment and supporting communities and wildlife that depend on these forests.
The certification covers a wide range of appliances manufactured by Haier Europe in production facilities in Italy, Turkey, and China.

Haier Europe’s broader sustainability strategy focused on reducing environmental impact by enhancing operations performance and accelerating product leadership with more energy and resource-efficient solutions.
The company has already committed to setting emissions reduction targets by adopting a scientific and calculated approach through the Science Based Targets Initiative. Haier Europe has thus committed to setting robust, credible, and science-based goals for the next 5–10-years, in line with the 1.5°C pathways of Greenhouse Gas mitigation targets, and to achieve at least 60% renewable energy across all the Company’s controlled sites by 2025. During 2022-2023, Haier Europe reduced part of its direct and indirect emissions by over 20%, achieved a 96% waste recovery rate and a 38% reduction in water use across all its factories.
