Haier Europe wins two iF Design Awards 2026

Haier Europe has been awarded two iF Design Awards 2026, among the most prestigious international accolades in the design industry, for two projects that embody complementary visions of innovation: Candy MyWash 900, which anticipates the next evolution of the iconic Italian design brand, and  Elba freestanding cookers Pura Collection, a contemporary expression of manufacturing excellence and Made in Italy culture.

Presented annually by iF International Forum Design, the award recognises outstanding achievements in design quality, formal coherence, innovation and user experience. Both products were developed at the Milan Experience Design Center (MED), Haier Europe’s creative hub led by Federico Ferretti.

Candy MyWash 900: shaping the future of the brand

Candy MyWash 900 marks a strategic milestone in the brand’s history – a project that anticipates Candy’s next phase of evolution and translates its renewed positioning into a tangible product vision. Featuring a contemporary and highly functional design, MyWash 900 elevates the user experience across all its key touchpoints – the Smart Dose+ drawer, the Smart Vision+ user interface, and the larger XXL Soft Drum with push‑pull opening. Together, they form the MyWash System: an integrated, optimized ecosystem engineered to provide an outstanding user experience across every step of the laundry journey.

Since launching Italy’s first automatic washing machine, Candy has always interpreted design as a language capable of improving everyday life. Each product stems from the idea of intelligent functionality, where form follows use and innovation becomes a natural part of the domestic experience. Candy products embody the ability to transform technology into a familiar gesture, making design accessible, human and seamlessly integrated into daily life, with a meaningful impact on contemporary living culture. With MyWash 900, this philosophy evolves into a contemporary synthesis of aesthetics, digital interface and ease of use. Clean lines, fluid integration of smart elements and clarity of interaction reflect a precise ambition: to make technology increasingly intuitive, close to people, and genuinely useful within the home environment.

Elba freestanding cookers Pura Collection: Italian identity, precision and innovation

The Elba Pura Collection is part of Elba’s new, yet-to-be-launched project aimed at revitalizing the brand in both Italian and international markets by highlighting its uniqueness, Italian craftsmanship, and a heritage spanning more than 75 years. The objective is to build a more cohesive and consistent brand identity across its built-in and freestanding cooker ranges.

Pura is more than a collection – it is the purest expression of ELBA’s DNA, where refined design meets Italian craftsmanship. Inspired by professional kitchens, it blends tradition and innovation to deliver a powerful, emotional user experience. Metal knobs with dual finish, integrated LEDs, and a folded steel handle express precision and care. The three volumes – operational block, oven, and base — form a harmonious, iconic monolith. Brushed stainless steel defines its clean, timeless aesthetic. Pura is a vision: a scalable, versatile system and the manifesto of ELBA’s design philosophy.

Design as a strategic lever: the role of the Milan Experience Design Center

At the core of both recognitions lies the work of the Milan Experience Design Center, a multidisciplinary creative hub that integrates product, space and interaction design into a structured, human-centred process. The MED does not simply define product aesthetics: it shapes brand identity, translating brand values into coherent, recognisable and internationally relevant design languages.
