Haier Europe opens a new laundromat in Naples

Our partnership with Procter & Gamble continues, and after the two new laundromats in Turin, we are proud to open a new laundromat in Naples to support people experiencing poverty with concrete help and restore their dignity.  

The Naples Laundry and Shower Service initiative was inaugurated on Friday, January 12th. This service provides a charitable place and restores dignity to the less fortunate.  

The laundromat, managed by the Community of Sant’Egidio of Naples, is equipped with washing machines and dryers donated by Haier Europe. It will be constantly stocked with laundry detergents and products for cleaning the premises or for personal hygiene offered by P&G for shower rooms.

As a company, we want to be close to the people and communities in which we operate with tangible and meaningful actions, and we firmly believe that the right to hygiene is universal and that everyone should have access to clean clothes. We would like to thank Procter & Gamble for involving us again in this project, together with the Papal Charities and the Community of Sant’Egidio for their invaluable commitment,” said Karim Bruneo, Corporate Communications Director of Haier Europe. 

The service will be offered free of charge to the poorest people, especially the homeless. They will be able to wash and dry their clothes, clothes, and blankets in these rooms, and thanks to the shower service, provide personal cleaning as well.
